Oil seal
The rotating oil seal prevents oil or grease from leaking from the spindle or entering the interior of the spindle.
A constant tension in the spring allows the oil seal to adhere to the shaft and seal while maintaining the rotational force, the convex oil film between the shaft and the oil seal acts as a barrier to internal oil and external air.
